James Nachtwey.

The worst thing as photographer is to feel benefiting from someone else his tragedy
It’s something I have to reckon with everyday, because I know if I ever allow genuine compassion
being overtaken by personal ambition, I will have sold my soul.
The only way I can justify my role is to have respect for someone else his predicament (difficult situation).
The extend to which I do that is the extend to which I become accepted by the other, and to that extend I can accept myself.
